Mrs. Beverly Fay Thomas, 82, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018 in Cedartown.

She was born on March 24, 1935 in Rome, the daughter of the late James Brown Price and the late Annie Bell Scott Price. She worked for 30 years for the Probate Court and Judge Harry Johnson and then went on to work as a Floyd Sheriff Bailiff in the Superior Court for 10 years. She was a member of Floyd Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William Frank Thomas Jr.

Survivors include her sons, William Michael Thomas (Melinda), Stephen Trent Thomas and James Randall Thomas all of Armuchee; her daughter, Beverly Johnston (Sam) of Lindale; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and her sister, Edith Wilkins.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 3:00 pm in the Oaknoll Chapel with Bryan Johnston and Holly Everett delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the service hour.

The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet by 2:30 at the Oaknoll Chapel: Bryan Johnston, Heath Johnston, Joel King, Jody Everett, Micheal Davis, Garrett Prince and Bralin James.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Floyd County Sheriff Department C.H.A.M.P.S. Program or Alzheimer’s Association.
